After 5 repairmen from the company who installed my AC did nothing to fix my AC which was leaking into my ceilings, the restoration company suggested I call 3B. It was not an easy fix, but Al found and repaired the problems. It required a few service calls to complete, but my AC is now working as it should! Al came early and stayed late, returned to check on things over the weekend and made sure all was working well. The cost, which could have been quite high, was very reasonable. He was much more knowledgeable than the company repairmen from whom I originally bought the unit. It is his own company, and he really does know what he’s doing!! I appreciated his honesty and his work ethic.

Please read these Terms carefully. By using the Website, requesting service, approving an estimate, or allowing us to perform work at your property, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website or our services.

Relationship to Other Agreements

Some services are covered by a separate written agreement, such as a signed proposal, installation contract, work order, or the 3B Comfort Membership Agreement. If a separate written agreement conflicts with these Terms, the separate agreement controls for that service. These Terms apply to everything the separate agreement does not address.

Our Services

3B Heating & Air provides residential and light commercial HVAC services in Pasco and Hillsborough County, Florida. Our services include air conditioning repair, installation, and replacement; heating system service; maintenance; ductless mini split and zone control systems; indoor air quality products; and light commercial HVAC service for systems up to 20 tons.

All work is performed under Florida Certified Mechanical Contractor license CMC1251785. We may decline any service request at our discretion, including requests outside our service area, scope of license, or technical capability.

Service Descriptions on the Website

Information on our Website about services, equipment, pricing ranges, and timelines is provided for general information only. It is not an offer or a binding quote. The final scope, price, and terms of any job are set out in the estimate or agreement you approve.

Estimates and Pricing

Flat-Rate Pricing

3B Heating & Air uses flat-rate pricing. After diagnosing a problem or assessing a project, we will provide a price for the recommended work. No work beyond the diagnosis will begin until you approve the price.

Diagnostic Fee

Unscheduled repair calls carry a trip and diagnostic fee of $79 for non-members. Comfort Membership customers pay a reduced fee of $49 on the Essential Plan or $19 on the Premier Plan. The diagnostic fee is waived when you approve and we perform the recommended repair during the same visit. If you decline the repair, the diagnostic fee is due at the end of the visit.

A visit to evaluate a comfort concern that is not caused by a system malfunction, such as uneven temperatures, airflow balancing, or humidity questions, may be billed as a separate comfort assessment, quoted before the visit.

Free Estimates

Estimates for new system installations and replacements are free. Estimates are based on the conditions visible and accessible at the time of the visit.

Validity of Estimates

Unless the estimate states otherwise, estimates are valid for 30 days. Equipment and material prices can change, so a new estimate may be required after that period.

Changes and Hidden Conditions

If we discover conditions that could not reasonably be seen during the estimate, such as damaged ductwork inside walls, code violations, electrical problems, or mold, we will stop and explain the issue before continuing. Any additional work requires your approval and may change the price and timeline.

Payment Terms

Payment is due when the work is completed unless a written agreement says otherwise. Larger installation projects may require a deposit before we order equipment, as stated in your estimate or contract.

We accept the payment methods listed on your invoice, which may include credit card, debit card, and ACH bank transfer. Returned payments and chargebacks may result in fees as permitted by law.

If an invoice is not paid when due, we may charge a late fee as permitted by Florida law, suspend further service, and pursue collection. You agree to pay reasonable collection costs and attorney's fees incurred to collect unpaid amounts, to the extent allowed by law.

Financing

Financing is offered through third-party lenders, currently Synchrony, FTL, and HFS. Financing is subject to credit approval by the lender. Each lender sets its own terms, rates, and requirements, and your financing agreement is directly between you and the lender. 3B Heating & Air is not a lender and does not guarantee approval or any particular terms.

Special Offers, Discounts, and Price Match

  • Seasonal discount: When offered, the 10% seasonal discount applies to services performed between November and February. It must be requested at the time of booking.
  • Price match: We will beat a written quote from a licensed HVAC contractor for a comparable scope of work and equipment. The competing quote must be current, itemized, and presented before work begins. We reserve the right to verify the quote and the contractor's license.
  • General terms: Offers have no cash value, cannot be applied to completed work, and may not be combined unless stated. Offers may change or end at any time. Offers are valid only within our service area.

Scheduling and Appointments

We typically schedule regular service within 24 to 48 hours and emergency service within 24 hours, depending on availability. Arrival times are estimates. Weather, traffic, emergencies, and earlier jobs can cause delays, and we will communicate any changes to your arrival time. We do not guarantee same-day service.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

Please give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. If our technician arrives and cannot access the property or the equipment at the scheduled time, a trip fee may apply.

Property Access and Customer Responsibilities

To help us complete the work safely and on time, you agree to:

  • Be present, or have an authorized adult aged 18 or older present, during the appointment, unless we agree otherwise in advance
  • Provide safe, clear access to the indoor and outdoor equipment, electrical panel, thermostat, attic, and any other areas related to the work
  • Secure pets away from the work area
  • Tell us about known hazards, such as damaged flooring in attics, aggressive animals, or prior water damage
  • Confirm that you own the property or are authorized by the owner to approve the work

Our technicians may decline to work in conditions they consider unsafe, including areas with exposed wiring, structural damage, mold, pests, or hazardous materials. We are not responsible for delays caused by conditions outside our control.

Existing Conditions

Our work is limited to the HVAC system and the scope you approve. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage or conditions, such as worn ductwork, aging electrical wiring, roof leaks, or previous improper installation, unless the repair of those conditions is included in the approved scope. We take reasonable care while working, but minor disturbances, such as ceiling dust near attic access points or small touch-ups around new equipment, may occur during installations.

Permits and Code Compliance

When a job requires a permit, 3B Heating & Air will obtain the permit and schedule required inspections as part of the approved scope, unless the agreement states otherwise. Permit fees may be included in or added to your estimate. You agree to provide access for required inspections. Completion dates may depend on the availability of local building department inspectors.

Comfort Membership Plans

Comfort Membership maintenance plans are governed by the 3B Comfort Membership Agreement you sign or accept at enrollment. In general:

  • Plans cover standard residential split systems in normal working condition at enrollment.
  • Each plan includes two scheduled maintenance visits per year, one in spring and one in fall.
  • The Essential Plan is billed at $9 per month and the Premier Plan at $15 per month, by card on file or ACH.
  • Plans renew each month automatically until canceled by either party with 30 days' written notice.
  • Parts, refrigerant, and repairs beyond the included inspection are billed separately, with the member discount applied.
  • A maintenance plan is not an equipment warranty and does not cover mechanical failure, pre-existing conditions, or damage outside normal wear and tear.

If these Terms conflict with the Comfort Membership Agreement, the Comfort Membership Agreement controls.

Warranties

Labor Warranty

New system installations include a 1-year labor warranty from 3B Heating & Air, starting on the installation completion date. The labor warranty may be extended up to 10 years on request, under the terms stated in your installation agreement. Repair work carries the labor warranty stated on your invoice.

Manufacturer Parts Warranty

New equipment we install carries the manufacturer's parts warranty, which is typically 10 years for standard residential systems. Manufacturer warranties are provided by the manufacturer, not by 3B Heating & Air, and are subject to the manufacturer's terms. Many manufacturers require product registration within a set period after installation to receive the full warranty term. Where we register equipment on your behalf, you agree to provide any information needed.

What Warranties Do Not Cover

Unless required by law, warranties do not cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidents, or failure to perform recommended maintenance
  • Damage from power surges, lightning, flooding, storms, fire, pests, or other events outside our control
  • Clogged condensate drain lines, dirty filters, or other conditions caused by lack of routine maintenance
  • Repairs, alterations, or adjustments made by anyone other than 3B Heating & Air
  • Equipment or parts supplied by the customer
  • Refrigerant, filters, and other consumable items, unless the failure was caused by our workmanship
  • Pre-existing conditions in ductwork, electrical systems, or the structure of the property

Warranty claims must be reported to us promptly. Late payment or nonpayment of the original invoice may void our labor warranty.

Disclaimer of Other Warranties

Except for the express warranties stated in these Terms or in your written agreement, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, 3B Heating & Air disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee specific energy savings, utility bill reductions, or rebate approvals.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, 3B Heating & Air will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, loss of use, spoiled food or goods, temporary housing costs, or business interruption, arising from our services, the Website, or equipment failure.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to a service or product will not exceed the amount you paid us for that specific service or product.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Florida law, such as liability for gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless 3B Heating & Air, its owners, employees, and agents from claims, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees, arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Website, or inaccurate information you provide to us, such as a false statement that you are authorized to approve work at a property.

Florida Construction Notices

Where required by Florida law, written contracts for installation and improvement work will include the notices required by statute, including notices under the Florida Construction Lien Law, Chapter 713, Florida Statutes. Under that law, those who work on your property or provide materials and are not paid in full may have a right to place a lien on your property, even if you have paid your contractor in full. Please review any such notices in your contract carefully.

  • Assignment: You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our written consent. Transferability of equipment warranties is governed by the manufacturer's terms.
  • Force majeure: We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as hurricanes, severe weather, supply shortages, or utility outages.
